ALL ABOUT ADAC POSTBUS LINES
Postbus is a long-distance bus company operated by Deutsche Post Mobility GmbH.
Passengers can travel to 60 Germany’s destinations like Frankfurt, Dortmund, Hamburg and München and some destinations around Europe as Paris, Prag and Rotterdam.
POSTBUS FLEET SERVICES
Since 2014 Postbus connect their passengers to many destinations around Germany through 60 comfort and modern buses equipped with safety features.
Yellow Postbus buses have the safety technology, eco-friendly engines, generously spaced seats, free WiFi on board, media center with movies on board, 230v power outlet in every seat, air conditioning and restroom.
Some buses have snacks and beverages too, but it’s necessary to pay for them.
Bus tickets can be purchased online by credit cards, PayPal, Giropay (bank transfers) and online überweisung (Deutsche Telekom).
You can buy your bus ticket by contact customer service at (0049) 01806 972797 and pay by credit cards.
At Terminal and Others
Passengers can also purchase tickets at one of 5.000 postal outlets, participating ADAC branch offices or from the bus driver directly on board.
The payment options is by credit cards, Girocard, cash and V Pay.
DEALS & DISCOUNTS
Groups of 8 or more passengers can travel with discounts, so, they can contact the
Postbus customer service by the telephone (0049) 01806 972797 and get more information about group fares.
Children under 12 years old can receive a 50% discount off the value of bus tickets.
Passengers accompanying disabled passengers with a degree of disability (GdB) of 50% or more, can travel by Postbus for free.
It’s necessary have the official handicap ID card to present to the bus driver; foreign handicap ID’s will be accepted if they have been translated into German by an accredited translator.
To book accompanying passengers online, you’ll must select the “accompanying person” attribute for the second traveler.
Passengers who are members of ADAC can make seat reservations and carry a second baggage for free.
TICKET REFUND AND EXCHANGES
Some informations in your bus trip as dates, departure time or route can be changed at least 12 hours before the originally scheduled departure time by contacting customer service at the number (0049) 01806 972797. The change in your bus ticket costs EUR 5 per passenger.
Beyond that exchange option by telephone, the passenger can switch their bus tickets through Deutsche Post outlets and ADAC branch offices too.
To cancel a bus ticket you must request at customer service calling to (0049) 01806 972797 at least 12 hours before the bus departure. Postbus charges a fee of EUR 10 per bus ticket.
Boarding on Bus
We recommend that you arrive at the terminal 30 minutes before the time of your departure because it’s common spend a time with baggage dispatch and confirming your bus ticket with Postbus.
Pets on Bus
Postbus does not allow the transport of pets on their buses.
Travelling with Children
By law, kids from 1-4 years are allowed to travel using a child’s seat, their travel can be booked in advance depending on the availability.
Children aged 12 years or older than that are allowed to travel alone, provided that they show an agreement document which must be completed and signed by legal guardian or parents. The young passenger must be picked up at the destionation by an authorized person.
